Placement

The Second Batch of Post Graduate Programme in Infrastructure Management (PGPIM) consisted of 19 participants with average age of 28 years and average work experience of 5 years. Their average salary at the time of joining the Programme in September 2010 was Rs. 5.1 Lakhs per annum. All 19 participants have received at least one job offer. By now, 17 participants have already accepted the offers, while two participants have not accepted the offer received. Thus, the Second Batch of PGPIM has achieved 100% placement in terms of at least one job offer received and 90% placement in terms of job offers accepted within five weeks of completion of the programme.

The salient features of the placement of the second batch of one-year programme at AIIM are :

• All Placements have been lateral placements.
• 21 Companies participated in the campus recruitment process and 16 of them made 25 job offers to 19 participants.
• 6 participants, representing around one-third of the batch, received more than one job offer.
• Average Salary of 17 participants, placed across various organizations, is Rs. 9.17 Lakhs per annum, which represents around 92% increase over their average salary at the time of joining the programme.
• The highest salary offered is Rs. 15.50 Lakhs, while the lowest salary offered is Rs. 6.32 Lakhs.
• The positions offered to the PGPIM participants include Sr. Manager (Project Management & Business Development), Manager (Business Development), Manager (Learning & Organization Development), Manager (Sales), Sr. Business Analyst, Dy. Manager (Dry Cargo Operations), Dy. Manager (Operations), Dy. Manager (Container Business), etc.
• 58% of the batch had previous work experience in IT sector. Almost all of them could achieve a successful career switch to managerial positions in infrastructure sector.
