Placement

The pioneering batch of Post Graduate Programme in Infrastructure Management (PGPIM) consisted of 21 participants with average age of 28 years and average work experience of 5 years. Their average salary at the time of joining the Programme in September 2009 was Rs. 5.3 Lakhs per annum. All 21 participants have been placed. 100% placement of the first batch within one month of completion of the programme is a unique achievement for the AIIM as a newly established institution.

The salient features of the placement of first batch of one-year programme at AIIM are :

• All Placements have been lateral placements in the respective organizations.
• 29 Companies participated in the campus recruitment process and made 35 job offers.
• Average job offers exceeded 1.6 per participant.
• 11 participants, representing more than 50% of the batch, received 2 or 3 job offers.
• Average Salary of 21 participants, placed across various organizations, is Rs. 11 Lakhs per annum, which represents a more than 100% increase in their average salary at the time of joining the programme.
• The highest salary offered is Rs. 17.5 Lakhs, while the lowest salary offered is Rs. 7.2 Lakhs.
• The positions offered to the participant of the first batch of PGPIM include Associate Vice President (Business Development), Sr. Manager (Road & Railways), Sr. Manager (F&A), Project Manager, Manager – Strategic Planning, Manager – Commercial, Manager – Tendering & Business Development, Manager – Business Development, etc.
• 40% of the batch had previous work experience in IT sector. All of them could achieve a successful career switch to managerial positions in infrastructure sector.
